Question

it's a lot difficult in India. You have to stop paying them and they'll cancel it for you!

The YMCA that I used to go to already had a way to circumvent rules like this. They let you do most of the sign up online but make you stop at the desk to sign something before your first workout. There's no reason for that other than making it so that you technically didn't sign up online and therefore they can make you cancel at your home gym still. Try to remember to cancel before you move to a place with no YMCA close by!

I live in The Netherlands and it was always like that. USA catching up 75 years later.
