good find. Iโ€™ll get a spare one too in 3 qt. instant pots are very reasonably priced for their convenience features like pressure cooking, setting it and walking away. $50 deal is a steal. Iโ€™ve seen people using the same instant pots for over 9 years. thanks

In any pressure cooker, we can cook only up to 2/3 of its capacity and the rest 1/3 should be left empty for building up the pressure. Even though it is 8 quart, I can only cook less than 5 quart in it. The size is good for those who cook once in a week. Since I cook less frequently, small size pot won't be useful to me.

One of the items that cooks perfectly in Instant Pot is dhal/pappu. It cooks grainy and does not turn into a paste like it does in other pressure cookers like Hawkins, Prestige... I have 3 pressure cookers (and a rice cooker that I don't use).
