Not to degrade India as there are only a couple of companies in a couple of cities (Kolkata, Delhi) that indulge in these scams. They usually take control of your machine using apps like TeamViewer remotely saying your machine is faulty or you are owed some refund, make you log into your bank account, make you enter an amount like $300 into a fake refund form, hide the screen from the person, edit the HTML in the frontend to $30,000 and blame the person of entering a wrong amount and taking the company's money and want the excess money back saying they would lose their job if they don't get it back, ask the person to go to SamsClub to get some gift cards for the excess amount so they could be mailed to their address.
