Main accused in A.P. CM stone-pelting case has different dates of birth on documents

Birth certificate issued by a hospital was submitted to the court as proof of age, not Aadhaar card, say police; another suspect V. Durga Rao was released after questioning

Vemula Satish Kumar alias Satti, the main accused in the stone-pelting case in which Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was injured, has proofs of two dates of birth—one mentioned in his birth certificate issued by a hospital and the other in his Aadhaar card, the police have said.

The Ajitsingh Nagar police arrested Satish Kumar, a daily wager hailing from Vaddera Colony for allegedly pelting a stone at the Chief Minister during the latter’s ‘Memantha Siddham’ election campaign at Dhabakotlu Centre in Vijayawada on April 13.

According to his birth certificate, Satish Kumar was born on October 14, 2005, which means he is a major. However, his date of birth was mentioned as April 14, 2006 in his Aadhaar card, which certifies him as a minor.

The investigation officers said that the Aadhaar card was not considered if the date of birth was mentioned in the birth certificate or academic certificates. They produced the birth certificate of the acused in the court.

Satish Kumar was shifted to Vijayawada Jail after the court sent him on a judicial remand for 14 days.

“We are investigating how and from where Satish Kumar managed to get his Aadhaar card by changing his date of birth,” a police officer said.

Meanwhile, the NTR Commissionerate police released Vemula Durga Rao, another suspect in the case, late on Saturday night after thorough questioning.

It was alleged that Durga Rao, who has political links, along with Satish Kumar, hatched a conspiracy to kill the Chief Minister.

Police Commissioner Kanthi Rana Tata told The Hindu on April 21 (Sunday) that the police took Durga Rao into custody under Section 160 of Cr.Pc to verify his involvement in the case. “Durga Rao was asked to cooperate with the investigation before he was freed,” he said.

Durga Rao said that the police questioned him about if anybody instigated him to kill the Chief Minister, and other details related to the case.

“The police took my mobile phone. They verified the call data and my social media groups. They asked me whether any political leader was behind the attack on Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy. They released me after I promised to cooperate with the investigation,” said Durga Rao.

ఇవాళ ఇంటింటికీ మంచి చేసిన మీ బిడ్డ చుట్టూ ఎంతమంది బాణాలు పట్టుకుని ఉన్నారో గమనించండి. మీ బిడ్డ ఒక్కడూ ఒకవైపున... అటువైపున చంద్రబాబు, ఒక ఈనాడు, ఒక ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి, ఒక టీవీ5, ఒక దత్తపుత్రుడు, ఓ బీజేపీ, ఓ కాంగ్రెస్... వీళ్లందరూ సరిపోరన్నట్టుగా కుట్రలు, మోసాలు, అబద్ధాలు... వీరందరూ కలిసి మీ బిడ్డ ఒక్కడి మీద బాణాలు, రాళ్లు, ఆయుధాలు పట్టుకుని చుట్టూ నిలబడి ఉన్నారు. వీళ్లందరి మధ్య మీకు మంచి చేసిన మీ బిడ్డ ఒక్కడే నిలబడి ఉన్నాడు. 

మరి మీ బిడ్డ జగన్ కు తోడెవరు...? జగన్ కు తోడు ఆ దేవుడు, కోట్లమంది పేదలు, ఇంటింట్లో ఉన్న అక్కచెల్లెమ్మలు అని గర్వంగా చెప్పుకుంటున్నా. నేను సింగిల్ గానే వస్తున్నా నీకెందుకయ్యా బాబూ ఇంత భయం? సింగిల్ గా వస్తున్న ఒక్కడ్ని ఎదుర్కోవడానికి ఇన్ని నక్కలు ఏకమవుతున్నాయి.

Vizag will become IT destination for AP: Jagan

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, has said that Visakhapatnam is sure to compete with cities like Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bengaluru once the Chief Minister starts governance from the city. Interacting with the social media warriors of the Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) at Anandapuram, near Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, Jaganmohan Reddy said the city has potential for IT development, and it will become the IT destination for Andhra Pradesh.

Taking a dig at the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President, N Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister said: “We are close to victory. Sensing defeat, Chandrababu Naidu and his batch intensified the attack on the YSRCP. As our social media network is strong, we need not fear such attacks.”

Expressing confidence about victory, the Chief Minister said: “We should win 175 out of 175 Assembly seats and all Lok Sabha seats in the State.”

Jaganmohan Reddy has been in the Visakhapatnam district as a part of his ‘Memantha Siddham’ Bus Yatra. After the completion of his yatra in the Vizag district, he will move on to the Vizianagaram district, and finally, is scheduled to wind up the Bus Yatra in Pitchapuram, in Srikakulam district, on Wednesday.

Jaganmohan Reddy participated in a roadshow in the city on Sunday as part of his ‘Memantha Siddham’ Bus Yatra, and people in large numbers thronged both sides of the road to greet him. His roadshow started from the Chinnayapalem stay point, and he went through Pinagadi Junction, Lakshmi Puram, and Vepagunta Junction before pausing for a lunch break at Gopalapatnam. The crowd increased significantly when Jagan recommenced his journey from Gopalapatnam at 3.30 pm. It took him nearly three hours to cover the 9.5 km distance to reach the Kancharapalem centre. Throughout the journey, Jagan remained standing on the vehicle, greeting the crowd with folded hands for several hours. Upon reaching the Kancharapalem junction, the vehicle was halted as party workers chanted ‘Jai Jagan’ slogans and performed aarathi.

He also held a key conference with party leaders in the city on Monday. In the most recent developments of his visit to Visakhapatnam, he emphasized the scope for Visakhapatnam to become the IT destination of the State.

ఎన్నికలప్పుడు తియ్యటి మాటలు చెప్పి.. ఆ తర్వాత మోసం చేసేవాళ్లను 420లు అని పిలవాలని అన్నారు. 420 మాత్రమే చంద్రముఖి బృందం అని కూడా అంటారన్నారు. పేదల కలల్ని అర్థం చేసుకుని.. దాదాపు 40 స్కీమ్స్‌ పెట్టామని గుర్తు చేశారు. చంద్రబాబు హయాంలో ఇలాంటి స్కీమ్స్‌ లేవని అన్నారు. చంద్రబాబు పాలనలో మహిళలను రోడ్డున పాడేసి.. వారి రక్తాన్ని పీల్చిన చంద్రముఖి పాలననే చూశామని తెలిపారు. చంద్రబాబు పాలనలో జరిగిన మోసాలను గుర్తుచేసుకోవాలని.. అదేవిధంగా మీ బిడ్డ పాలనలో ఎటువంటి మంచి జరిగిందో ఆలోచన చేయాలని సూచించారు. రాష్ట్రాన్ని దోచుకోవడమే చంద్రబాబు పని విమర్శించారు. జన్మభూమి కమిటీలతో చంద్రబాబు దోపిడీలకు పాల్పడ్డారని ఆరోపించారు. 2014లో మహిళల కోసం చంద్రబాబు అనేక హామీలు ఇచ్చారని.. వాటిలో ఏ ఒక్కటి కూడా అమలు చేయలేదన్నారు. స్కీమ్‌లతో ప్రజల జేబుల్లోకి డబ్బులు పంపింది ఎవరంటే జగన్‌ అని అంటారని.. అదే మీ జేబుల్లోని డబ్బును లాక్కున్నది ఎవరంటే చంద్రబాబు పేరు చెబుతారని అన్నారు. డ్రీమ్‌ ప్రజలదైతే.. స్కీమ్‌ మీ జగన్‌ది అని తెలిపారు. జగన్‌ చేసిన పనులు చంద్రబాబు ఎందుకు చేయలేకపోయారని ప్రశ్నించారు.

Srikakulam: Jagan cautions people against unholy alliance of TDP-BJP-JSP

Says his govt dispersed`2.7 lakh crore among poor Srikakulam: The 22-day ‘Memanta Siddham’ bus yatra of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy concluded at Tekkali in Srikakulam district on Wednesday. The bus yatra began at Idupulapaya of Kadapa district on March 27. The Chief Minister said that seeing the sea of humanity it is clear that the YSRCP has the blessings of the people and they are ready to defeat ‘Kauravas’ in the ensuing elections.

Listing out the achievements of his government, Jagan said that Rs 2.70 lakh crore was dispersed for the benefit of the poor across the state in the last five years. The five-year rule of the YSRCP has been without any partiality towards anyone and was free from corruption. He said he had come to seek the blessings of the people of Srikakulam so that the state can not only continue to enjoy the welfare schemes launched by his government, but also helps in taking the state to greater heights.

He cautioned the people against voting for the alliance. Jagan said it had become a habit for TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu to defame his government through his friendly media houses in the state. Voting for Chandrababu Ends Schemes: CM Jagan

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy attended a public meeting called "Memantha Siddham" today in Akkavaram in the Tekkali constituency. Addressing the crowd this evening in Akkavaram, he referred to the attendees as "the lions of Srikakulam" and described these meetings as the heartbeat of the poor. He issued a call to arms to win all 175 assembly and 25 MP seats. "Are you all ready for a double century?" he asked the audience.

He claimed that if people vote for him in the upcoming elections, the schemes will continue, but if they vote for Chandrababu, the schemes will come to an end. "If you feel good about the past five years, stand by your children like soldiers... respond with your vote to the coalition's deceit," he urged.

"We have seen Chandrababu's culture of discarding the manifesto after elections. But I proudly say that we have fulfilled 99 percent of the promises, treating the manifesto like the Bible, the Quran, and the Bhagavad Gita," CM Jagan declared.

"Looking at Chandrababu’s situation, he has degraded himself by forming alliances with numerous parties. Chandrababu, who can’t even claim to have done four good deeds, has made it his job to insult me daily. His channels and newspapers portray it as a great feat. Is this great politics?" he criticized.

"Now, forming coalitions for power... What does it mean to give power to such people? To promise beautifully and then deceive and loot the people for five years to share the spoils?" CM Jagan raised the question vehemently.

Police Custody Approved for Accused in Stone Attack on CM YS Jagan

A Vijayawada court has recently ordered that Satish, the accused in the stone-throwing incident targeting Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, be placed under police custody. The court has granted permission for a three-day custody and stipulated that the interrogation should only be conducted in the presence of his lawyers and parents.

The court specifically directed that the interrogation of Satish should only occur from 10 AM to 5 PM. Satish is currently being held at a jail in Vijayawada. Following the court's orders, the police are scheduled to begin their interrogation of Satish from tomorrow.

సీఎం జగన్ ఇవాళ నెల్లూరు జిల్లా కందుకూరులో ఎన్నికల ప్రచార సభకు హాజరయ్యారు. కందుకూరు అసెంబ్లీ అభ్యర్థి బుర్రా మధుసూదన్ యాదవ్, నెల్లూరు పార్లమెంటు స్థానం వైసీపీ అభ్యర్థి విజయసాయిరెడ్డిలను అఖండ మెజారిటీతో గెలిపించాలని ప్రజలకు పిలుపునిచ్చారు. 

కందుకూరు సభలో ఆయన ప్రసంగిస్తూ, తానేమీ చంద్రబాబు మాదిరిగా సెల్ ఫోన్లు నేనే కనిపెట్టాను అని బడాయిలు చెప్పడంలేదని అన్నారు. ఈ 58 నెలల కాలంలో తన  పాలన ప్రోగ్రెస్ రిపోర్టును రాష్ట్ర ప్రజల ముందు ఉంచుతున్నానని, ప్రజలే మార్కులు వేయాలని అన్నారు. 

మీ బిడ్డ జగన్ కు మీరు అధికారం ఇవ్వడం వల్లే మీ గ్రామాల్లో కొత్తగా ఏడు వ్యవస్థలు అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకురాగలిగాడు అని వివరించారు. గ్రామ/వార్డు సచివాలయాలు, 60-70 ఇళ్లకు ఒక వాలంటీరు, నాడు-నేడు పథకంతో రూపురేఖలు మారిన ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాల, అందులో ఇంగ్లీషు మీడియం చదువులు, రైతన్నల కోసం ఆర్బీకే వ్యవస్థలు, విలేజ్ క్లినిక్, ఫ్యామిలీ డాక్టర్, ఆరోగ్య సురక్ష సేవలు, మహిళా పోలీస్, ఓ డిజిటల్ లైబ్రరీ, ఫైబర్ గ్రిడ్ వంటివి ఈ 58 నెలల కాలంగా సాకారం చేశాం అని సీఎం జగన్ వివరించారు.

ఈ వ్యవస్థలన్నీ ఇలాగే కొనసాగాలంటే, నా పాలన బాగుందంటే మన పార్టీకి ఓటేయండి అని పిలుపునిచ్చారు. ఇప్పుడు అందిస్తున్న అమ్మఒడి, ఆసరా, చేయూత, పెన్షన్ పథకాలన్నీ అందాలంటే ఫ్యాన్ గుర్తుపై ఓటేయాలని అన్నారు. 

"మనది ఇంటింటా కనిపించే అభివృద్ధి. మరి చంద్రబాబుది కేవలం ఈనాడు, ఈటీవీ, ఏబీఎన్, టీవీ5లో మాత్రమే కనిపిస్తుంది. అందరూ ఆలోచించాలి. చంద్రబాబుకు ఓటేస్తే ప్యాకేజి స్టార్ కు ఇంత, ఈనాడు రామోజీరావుకు ఇంత, ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి రాధాకృష్ణకు ఇంత, టీవీ5 నాయుడికి ఇంత... వీళ్లందరికీ నేరుగా డీబీటీ! దత్తపుత్రుడికి ఇంత, వదినమ్మకు ఇంత అంటూ వీరందరికీ మనీ ట్రాన్స్ ఫర్!... జన్మభూమి కమిటీలకు పేటీఎం! దీనిపై అందరూ ఆలోచించమని కోరుతున్నా.

CM Jagan dares Chandrababu Naidu to stop single scheme implemented by YSRCP

The Chief Minister also asked Chandrababu Naidu whether TDP would reinstate the Janmabhoomi committees by suspending the volunteer system if they come to power.

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy criticised Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president Chandrababu Naidu for his inability to claim a single achievement despite being in power for 14 years.

Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “With elections around the corner, non-local leaders like Chandrababu Naida and Pawan Kalyan are coming to seek votes by deceiving people with fraudulent promises. Once the elections get over, the non-local leaders will leave for Hyderabad. This is the attachment of these non-local leaders with people of Andhra Pradesh…”

“Contrary to Chandrababu’s failed promises, we have implemented welfare schemes like YSR Cheyutha, Asara, Jagananna Chedodu, financial assistance to farmers, Jagananna Thodu, Kapu Nestam, and EBC Nestham in a transparent manner to uplift the people,” Jagan said while addressing the campaign near the YSR circle in Venkatagiri on Sunday as he dared Naidu to try and stop any of the schemes.

The Chief Minister also asked Chandrababu Naidu whether TDP would reinstate the Janmabhoomi committees by suspending the volunteer system if they come to power.

“You have served as Chief Minister for 14 years, whereas my tenure amounts to 58 months. Despite this, when it comes to the schemes, your approach seems to consist solely of duplicating my efforts and amplifying them to sway voters during the election,” said Chief Minister Jagan.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the renovation of government schools through Nadu-Nedu and the implementation of English medium schools.

“A Mahila police has been deployed in every village, along with the Disha App,” said Chief Minister Jagan while explaining the measures put in place in the state for the safety of women.

మేనిఫెస్టోలోని ఒక్క హామీని కూడా నెరవేర్చని చంద్రబాబుకు మళ్లీ ఓటు ఎందుకు వేయాలని జగన్ ప్రశ్నించారు. పిల్లలకు మంచి చదువులు కావాలన్నా, మన వ్యవసాయం, ఆసుపత్రులు మెరుగుపడాలన్నా, వాలంటీర్లు మన ఇంటికి రావాలన్నా ఫ్యాన్ గుర్తు మీద బటన్ నొక్కాలని అన్నారు. 175కి 175 అసెంబ్లీ స్థానాలు, 25కి 25 ఎంపీ స్థానాలు వైసీపీకి వస్తాయని... తగ్గేదే లేదని చెప్పారు.
